Job Description

My  current  client is  looking  for  a  Principle Structural  Designer  to  work  on  a  major  new  offshore  project  in  their  Surrey office. 

Candidates  who  apply  for  this  role  should have  a  minimum of  12  years  structural  design experience  within  the  oil  and  gas  industry. The  majority  of  the  candidates experience  should  be  working  on  offshore  projects. Furthermore  it  is  important  the  candidate  has  a  strong PDMS  expertise  and  the  ability to  lead  design times  is  highly desired.  The  ability to  communicate  with  Designers,  Engineers and  the  client is  essential.  As  well  as  the  ability to  mentor  the  junior  designers. In  return,  the  client  is  looking  to  offer  the  chosen  candidate a  competitive  hourly rate  that  befits the  level  of  experience  the  candidate  has  and  is  competitive  in  relation  to  the  current market  rates. 

The  role  is  long  term  and  the  expectation  by  the  client is  that  the  contract  should run  for  a  minimum  of  9-12  months +  with  plenty of  work  booked in  for  2011  already.
